Tennessee baseball remains ranked after opening SEC play

Tennessee (14-6, 1-2 SEC) will return to action on Tuesday for a nonconference baseball game. The Vols will host Eastern Kentucky at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).

Tennessee will also host Missouri at Lindsey Nelson Stadium for a three-game series in Week 6.

The Vols opened SEC baseball play in Week 5, losing a three-game series, 2-1, at Georgia. Tennessee also defeated Tennessee Tech, 20-2, in seven innings last week.

On Monday following Week 5, the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll was released. Tennessee is down two spots and ranked No. 23.
