The NFL draft will be held April 23–25, 2026 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Tennessee redshirt sophomore cornerback Colton Hood declared for the NFL draft on Wednesday.

The 6-foot, 195-pound defensive back appeared in 12 games for the Vols during the 2025 regular season, totaling 50 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, one interception, nine pass deflections, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Hood is projected as first-round pick (No. 31 overall) to Seattle in Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz of USA TODAY’s latest mock draft.

He played at Colorado (2024) and Auburn (2023) before transferring to Tennessee.

Hood played in seven games, including one start, in his only season at Colorado in 2024. He totaled 24 tackles, two interceptions and six pass deflections for the Buffaloes.

Hood played at Auburn in 2023 as a freshman. He appeared in four games and recorded three tackles against Maryland in the 2023 Music City Bowl.

The former Vol is from Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Georgia.
