Tennessee football ends losing streak at Florida

No. 20 Tennessee (8-3, 4-3 SEC) defeated Florida (3-8, 2-6 SEC), 31-11, Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida during Week 13 of the 2025 college football season.
Saturday’s victory was the Vols’ first since 2003 in Gainesville. Tennessee has won two consecutive games against the Gators and have been victorious in three of the last four contests in the series.
The Vols led, 31-0, at halftime after scoring touchdowns on their first four possessions. Max Gilbert kicked a 26-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.
Joey Aguilar completed 17-of-22 passing attempts for 204 yards and one touchdowns for the Vols, who did not surrender a touchdown until the fourth quarter of the contest.
DeSean Bishop led the Vols in rushing yards (116). He also scored two touchdowns on a career-high 24 rushing attempts.
Tight end Ethan Davis led the Vols with five receptions. He totaled 72 receiving yards and scored one touchdown as he gave the Vols’ a, 7-0, lead with a 23-yard scoring reception with 11 minutes, 28 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
Tennessee totaled 452 yards of offense (248 rushing and 204 passing) against the Gators.
