Tennessee football offers 2027 California defensive lineman

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to four-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou.
“Humbled to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Fakatou announced.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound prospect is originally from Alaska and plays for Lutheran High School of Orange County in Orange, California. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 5 defensive lineman in the class and No. 8 player in California.
USC was the first school to offer Fakatou a scholarship on April 21, 2024. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Arizona State, Arizona, Auburn, BYU, Utah, Washington, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Michigan, Oregon, Nebraska, Alabama, SMU, Missouri, Texas, California, Penn State, Syracuse, Miami, Minnesota, Colorado, Ohio State, Georgia, Ole Miss, Maryland, LSU, UCLA and Texas A&M.
Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
