Tennessee football offers No. 1 2028 prospect from Wisconsin

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2028 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to four-star tight end Tre Oiler.

"Humbled to receive an offer from Vol football," Oiler announced.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound prospect is from Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wisconsin. Rivals ranks him as the No. 11 tight end in the class and No. 1 player in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin was the first school to offer Oiler a scholarship on Nov. 8, 2025.

Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Iowa State, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Florida, Michigan State, SMU, Kansas, Purdue, Northwestern, Oregon, Syracuse, Maryland, UCLA, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Missouri, Iowa, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Arizona State, Miami, Auburn, Texas, Illinois, Alabama, West Virginia and LSU.

Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2028 recruiting class.

The Vols have 18 commitments in their 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, wide receiver KeSean Bowman, defensive back Carter Jamison and defensive back Brandon Leavell, tight end Malik Howard, defensive lineman Christian Mays, cornerback Dylan Haley, linebacker Kenneth Simon II, kicker Ford Fehling, long snapper Sam McKeown, offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson, athlete Dayon Cooper, safety Marcus Jones, offensive tackle Niko Kampas and running back David Gabriel Georges.
