The NCAA transfer portal closed on Friday after opening Jan. 2. Student-athletes could only enter the NCAA transfer portal during this period, but can still sign with a school at any point since they are in the transfer portal.
Once a player notifies a school regarding transferring, a school has 48 hours to enter their name into the transfer portal. Once entered, a student-athlete can be contacted.
