No. 23 Tennessee (8-4, 4-4 SEC) is preparing for its final football game during the 2025 season. The Vols will face Illinois (8-4, 5-4 Big Ten) in the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl on Dec. 30.

Kickoff between the Vols and Fighting Illini is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. EST at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. ESPN will televise the matchup.

“It’s a blessing to be out here playing for this team, and our main goal right now is Illinois,” Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar said. “Go out there and execute what we have planned. We have one more game on our schedule, and that’s a blessing. Everybody is super excited to go out there.”

Following Tennessee’s bowl game, the NCAA transfer portal will be open Jan. 2 through Jan. 16, 2026.
