Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel nails charity throw during College GameDay

College GameDay is in Knoxville, Tennessee, for Saturday’s highly anticipated showdown between No. 1 Texas and No. 14 Tennessee.

It’s expected to be a great game between two teams that are trying to win the SEC and make the College Football Playoff.

During College GameDay, Vols head coach Josh Heupel was inside Neyland Stadium to do a $100,000 charity throw. He stood on the 15-yard line and had to hit the crossbar from 25 yards out in order to win.

Heupel hit the throw with ease, meaning $100,000 will be donated to charity.

It was a perfect throw and got the entire College GameDay crew, especially Pat McAfee, fired up. Heupel even celebrated briefly right after the throw.

What Saturday’s Texas-Tennessee game means

This is a massive showdown between two of the country’s top teams. It’s a chance for the Longhorns to stay as the top team in the country and be the team to beat.

Meanwhile, it’s a chance for the Vols to score a major upset early in the season. They are 2-16 against AP No. 1 teams, and a win on Saturday means they’d secure their first victory over the AP No. 1 team since 1985.

Saturday’s game kicks off at noon ET on ABC. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will have the call.
