On a day where a lot of ranked teams are moving down, Tennessee is moving up. At least in the AP Poll, that is.

Tennessee moved up from 15 to 14 in the AP Poll and held firm at 14 in the Coaches Poll after a 24-17 win over Arkansas on Saturday in Fayetteville.

Right next to Vols in the AP Poll is Kentucky, who leapt up after defeating LSU in overtime 35-34 in Lexington, their second straight 35-34 overtime win in as many weeks. And speaking of the team they beat two weeks ago, South Carolina absolutely clobbered Florida 38-19 to knock the Gators out of the rankings.

Texas fell to Oklahoma 27-24 in Dallas to topple the Longhorns from the top spot, with Georgia understandably claiming the No. 1 ranking in both polls after defeating Alabama in Tuscaloosa 20-17.

Speaking of the Crimson Tide, they check in at No. 6 in the AP Poll and No. 7 in the Coaches Poll. So it’ll be 6/7 Alabama coming to Knoxville next weekend to take on the 14/14 Tennessee Vols.

The Third Saturday in October will kick off shortly after 3:30 pm ET on Saturday from Neyland Stadium, with the game to be broadcast on ABC.
