Tennessee State football has three more chances to pick up its first Big South/Ohio Valley Conference win starting on Nov. 8 at UT Martin.

The Tigers (2-7, 0-5 Big South/Ohio Valley Conference) are at the bottom of the conference with not much left to play for outside of finishing on an uptick. TSU has only finished winless in the conference once (2010) in school history.

UT (4-5, 4-1) Martin is in second place in the Big South/OVC, two games behind first place Tennessee Tech, and clinging to hope of returning to the FCS playoffs after advancing to the second round in 2024.

UT Martin is riding a three-game win streak while TSU has lost its last two.

It could be a low scoring game with both offenses struggling. TSU is last in the conference and 122nd in the FCS in total offense (256.3 yards) while UT Martin is seventh in the conference and 71st nationally (347.1).
