Texas A&M football dealt with a heat-related practice emergency before facing Kentucky on Wednesday. Now wide receiver Terry Bussey suffered a scare during Saturday’s SEC game. Which even occurred on the opening play in front of head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies.
Bussey coughed a fumble on the opening kickoff, but needed to get carted off the field. The Wildcats never took advantage of the miscue, though.
But Texas A&M is struggling to generate any type of offensive momentum. Both teams struggled to score with under 10 minutes left in the second. Running back Carsyn Baker scored the only touchdown of the game from inside the 5-yard line.

Bussey entered the Saturday conference showdown with seven catches for 92 yards and averaged 13.1 yards a catch, plus has 42 career passes in three seasons at College Station. Except Bussey has scored one touchdown across those three seasons.
Mario Craver stepped up as the leading wideout for the Aggies; catching seven passes for 71 yards and averaging 10.1 yards a catch. Quarterback Marcel Reed managed to feed the football to four other wide receivers outside of Craver. But only KJ Edwards caught two passes, squeaking out six yards in the process.
Texas A&M versus Kentucky rose as a defensive showcase and placed offensive firepower in the back burner. The Aggies produced two sacks on the afternoon before halftime arrived, with Anto Saka and TJ Searcy grabbing one each.
However, Reed watched Sam Greene of UK grab an interception during the first half. Which became Reed’s lone mistake of the half. But the Aggies own the only touchdown of the game.
