Texas A&M’s 2025 wide receiver was highly productive. It provided a glimpse of the future: new offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins, who remains the WR coach, should continue what former OC Collin Klein achieved this season, while his only job right now is to land one or two wide receivers from the transfer portal.

With KC Concepcion, who finished his only season in College Station with 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns, paired with 1,450 all-purpose yards and two punt return touchdowns, declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft, it was reported that Kansas State transfer wide receiver Jayce Brown, who reportedly visited during the Aggies’ CFP loss to Miami on Saturday, is one of Elko and Wiggins’s primary targets.

However, according to On3’s Pete Nakos, former Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons, who recently entered the transfer portal, holds a direct connection with Holmon Wiggins, who, during his time as Alabama’s WR and assistant head coach, heavily recruited Simmons.

Among the early schools to watch for Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons are Kentucky, Arkansas, Georgia and Texas A&M.

Finishing his Auburn career with 65 receptions, 908 yards, and five touchdowns, Simmons was highly productive in the final two games of the 2025 season, reeling in 149 receiving yards and a touchdown against Mercer, and, in the Iron Bowl loss to Alabama, recorded 143 yards and a touchdown, averaging 47 yards per reception.

Like Jayce Brown, Simmons will be highly coveted due to his speed and playmaking ability after the catch, and would be an immediate impact player alongside Texas A&M’s speed 2026 wide receiver rotation, led by incoming junior Mario Craver.
