Texas A&M coach Mike Elko led his 2026 roster, outside of one incoming freshman, onto the practice field during the first practice of the spring football season on Friday afternoon, and over the next four weekends, Elko and his staff will host a wide range of blue-chip prospects from the 2027 recruiting class, including several five-star recruits.

So far, the Aggies have landed ten commitments in the 2027 cycle, including five-star defensive backs Kamarui Dorsey and Raylaun Henry, who will take an official visit to College Station this summer. After landing six offensive line commitments in the 2025 signing class, OL coach Adam Cushing has already landed commitments from four-star tackles DeMarrion Johnson and Kaeden Scott.

Looking to secure three to four O-line commits in the cycle, the Aggies are now finalists to land four-star tackle Brian Swanson out of South Oak Cliff, who is another versatile blocker with the size and athleticism to play tackle, guard, or even center at the next level. Texas A&M will contend for his commitment with Texas, LSU, Ohio State, SMU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Arizona State.

Like several priority prospects, Elko and Cushing have yet to lock down an official visit date with Brian Swanson, but that should be resolved over the new month or so, as the Dallas product could make his way to College Station for an unofficial visit this spring.

According to 247Sports, Swanson is currently positioned as the 17th-ranked offensive tackle and the 16th-ranked prospect in Texas.
