Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed has a big season upcoming in 2026.
The Aggies had an impressive season with Reed under center in head coach Mike Elko’s second year with the program, going 11-2 and making the College Football Playoff. While A&M started 11-0, the team lost its final two games to Texas in the regular season and Miami in the CFP.
While participating at a youth camp on Saturday, a camper asked Reed how it felt to go into Tiger Stadium and beat LSU. Reed made a bold comment that will catch the attention of new head coach Lane Kiffin and the Tigers.
“It felt amazing, I don’t lose to LSU,” Reed said, via TexAgs.

Reed didn’t play his best game against the Tigers last year, throwing for 202 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He added another 108 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
However, his effort was enough to beat a team that had become deflated under then-head coach Brian Kelly 49-25 in front of 101,924 fans at Tiger Stadium. The LSU crowd broke out into “Fire Kelly” chants several times during the contest. The Tigers fired Kelly after the game.
Reed made strong comments after the win against LSU, saying the crowd didn’t phase him.
“Yeah, no, it fuels me. I love playing in away environments,” Reed said, via Sports Illustrated. “They tried to put a quote out there that I said that Death Valley was underwhelming. And, shoot, I guess it was. It didn’t do much to me.
“But I love playing in environments like this. And I think my teammates do, too. Being able to go out there and get a W and shut the opponent’s crowd up is something that I look forward to doing whenever we play away games.”
LSU and the Aggies will resume their rivalry at Tiger Stadium again on Sept. 26. LSU should be in a better place to give Texas A&M a run for their money with Kiffin on the sidelines.
LSU leads the all-time series 32-25-3, though A&M has won the last two meetings.
