NIL has been one of the biggest X-factors in college sports and can even be life-changing in some cases. While it’s still a mixed bag when it comes to enforcement around the deals being cut, several players have been doing meaningful things with their money.
Texas A&M’s starting quarterback made news earlier this year when he struck a deal with an aviation company that gave him access to private flights not just for personal needs but also to help educate the public about organ donations. He has also engaged in charitable giving along the way.
However, on Thursday, he took a different approach to giving when he surprised his offensive linemen at a dinner. Reed showed his appreciation for his O-line by gifting them necklaces with a custom Texas A&M pendant to accompany them.
They were well-earned, as they are one of the top lines in the nation and semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award honoring the best offensive line in college football.
