Head coach Mike Elko has reportedly hired an air raid disciple of legendary college football head coach Mike Leach to become Texas A&M's new offensive analyst for the 2026 campaign.
As first reported by Billy Liucci of TexAgs, the Aggies are adding Coastal Carolina offensive coordinator Drew Hollingshead to the staff as an analyst. He joined the Chants' staff last season, following a stint at Western Kentucky, where he served as a co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. In his first season with the Hilltoppers, Hollingshead had his unit second in Conference USA in scoring with 30.5 points per contest. He also spent time on Leach's staff at Washington State and Mississippi State, prior to the move to Western Kentucky in 2023.
Now, Hollingshead is back in the Southeastern Conference and will reportedly serve on Elko's staff to help with the Aggies' offense.

Following the departure of offensive coordinator Collin Klein and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman, Elko has mostly hired from within, with the promotions of both Holmon Wiggins and Lyle Hemphill, respectively. Filling those positions was a must for the Aggies entering the offseason, following one of the most historic campaigns in program history. For the offensive analyst role, Elko bringing on Hollinshead will help fill another position of need, while also providing the offense with an experienced coach who has spent time in the SEC.
Hollingshead will have plenty of weapons to scheme for entering 2026, with the return of wideouts like Mario Craver and Ashton-Bethel Roman, who are two of the most explosive skill position players in the country. It will be intriguing to see how much the Aggie offense changes this season, especially with the return of quarterback Marcel Reed.
