In just four days, Texas A&M (11-1, 7-1 SEC) will host Miami (FL) (10-2) in the first round of the College Football Playoff, as head coach Mike Elko has taken the program to new heights in just his second season at the helm. However, while the Aggies are slight 3-point favorites, Miami is on a four-game winning streak and could easily leave Kyle Field with a victory on Saturday.

For the Aggies to get back to form after playing their worst football of the season during the regular-season road loss to Texas, senior running back Le’Veon Moss, who has missed the last six games due to an ankle injury, must return to the lineup to provide statbility to an offense that thrives when starting quarterback Marcel Reed isn’t dropping back on nearly every snap.

While Rueben Owens finished as the team’s rushing leader in Moss’s absence, his footwork issues were evident against the Longhorns, and, as college football analyst Brooks Austin smartly put it, plenty of yards were left on the field without Moss taking a majority of the snaps.

On Monday, head coach Mike Elko stated that he was in “wait-and-see mode” regarding Moss’s return against the Hurricanes. Still, on Tuesday afternoon, the media was allowed to film the first 15 minutes of Texas A&M’s practice, and thanks to GigEm247 beat writer Carter Karels for capturing the footage, the senior was back in the swing of things, looking healthy while running.

Before his injury just minutes into the second half against Florida, Moss had already racked up 389 rushing yards and six touchdowns, averaging 5.6 yards per carry. Senior linebacker Scooby Williams, wide receiver Mario Craver, and safety Bryce Anderson also participated during Tuesday’s practice

Texas A&M will host Miami on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with coverage on ABC and ESPN.
