Before No. 3 Texas A&M (8-0, 5-0 SEC) takes on No. 22 Missouri (6-2, 2-2 SEC) in Columbia on Saturday afternoon, one of the Aggies’ brightest stars, transfer wide receiver KC Concepcion, who is second on the team in receiving with 36 receptions for 545 yards and seven touchdowns, and combined with fellow transfer WR Mario Craver, starting quarterback Marcel Reed has taken the next step as a passer.
After two highly productive seasons at NC State, Concepcion’s NFL future hinged on finding an offense that catered to his skill set, and after watching Marcel Reed throw during the early stages of Texas A&M’s 2025 offseason, head coach Mike Elko convinced the elite route runner that College Station wouldn’t just provide him a clear path to the NFL, but possibly the program’s first bid to the College Football Playoff.
Off the field, it’s important to remember that nearly every college athlete is far from their family, and each week, especially in-season, these friendships run deep amid Texas A&M’s historic start to the season, with a CFP bid in clear sight. On Saturday, just hours before the Aggies face Missouri, the SEC Network released an interview that detailed Concepcion’s other elite skill set: cooking.
Apparently, most of the Texas A&M offense, including Marcel Reed and running back Rueben Owens, regularly stop by Concepcion’s condo to partake in his flavor-rich dishes, while relaxing or, most importantly, studying film. Check out the full interview below to learn more about KC Concepcion and the Aggies off the field this season.
