Texas A&M enters its toughest stretch of the season, sitting at 3-2 and 1-2 in SEC play, and will face No. 14 Missouri on Saturday afternoon in a game that will likely determine the remainder of the Aggies' 2026 season and their hopes of returning to the College Football Playoff.
After back-to-back losses to Kentucky at home and LSU in Baton Rouge, they defeated Arkansas 34-7 last week, looking more sound on defense, while starting quarterback Marcel Reed completed 13/19 for 170 yards and ran for 66 yards and a touchdown, contributing to 231 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the night.
Facing Missouri's 12th-ranked rushing defense, finding holes in the running game may be tough, forcing Marcel Reed to attack Missouri's 99th-ranked pass defense, something he hasn't done this season, as he's struggled to complete high-percentage throws in nearly every game.
One of the Aggies' primary playmakers, junior wide receiver Mario Craver, was listed as questionable on the first SEC injury report, which continued Thursday, giving him a 50% chance to play Saturday. Freshman linebacker Tamarion Watkins and sophomore running back Jamarion Morrow are not listed on the injury report and are expected to play on Saturday.
Right now, the expectation is that Mario Craver will find a way back onto the field after being listed as a game-time decision before the Aggies hosted Arkansas, but he had to leave mid-game. We will await Friday and Saturday's injury report for any potential change to Craver's status.
