Texas A&M vs. LSU – What is the Aggies' series record?

LSU leads the all-time football series with Texas A&M 36-25-3, but the Aggies have won the last two meetings. A&M beat the Tigers 38-23 at Kyle Field in 2024, then returned to Baton Rouge in 2025 and won 49-25. What happened the last time Texas A&M played LSU?

Texas A&M entered its October 2025 trip to Baton Rouge unbeaten, but LSU led 18-14 at halftime. The Aggies took control after the break. Marcel Reed rushed for his second touchdown of the night to put A&M ahead, and KC Concepcion followed with a 79-yard punt return for a score. By the fourth quarter, the Aggies had stretched their lead to 49-18 before LSU scored late.

Reed finished with 202 passing yards and 108 rushing yards, accounting for two touchdowns through the air and two on the ground. Concepcion scored as a receiver and punt returner, while A&M’s defense recorded seven sacks and held LSU to one second-half touchdown. The 49-25 win was Texas A&M’s first at Tiger Stadium since 1994.

Texas A&M-LSU football series history

The teams first met in 1899 and played regularly during stretches from 1960 to 1975 and 1986 to 1995. After a lengthy break, they met in the 2011 Cotton Bowl and have played every season since Texas A&M joined the SEC in 2012. The rivalry has produced memorable Aggie wins, including the 74-72, seven-overtime game in 2018.

The most recent chapter belongs to Reed. He came off the bench and rushed for three touchdowns in A&M’s 2024 comeback, then led the Aggies to last year’s win in Baton Rouge. After a difficult game against Kentucky, Saturday gives him another chance to show the form that helped A&M win the previous two meetings.
