Texas A&M's 2026 WR room leads the SEC with three returning TD leaders

Texas A&M's 2026 wide receiver rotation will be led by junior Mario Craver, who, after transferring from Mississippi State before the 2025 season, reeled in a career-high 59 receptions for 917 yards and 4 touchdowns and is widely considered one of the most dangerous players after the catch, averaging nearly 9 yards after contact.

Combined with redshirt sophomore Ashton Bethel-Roman, who recorded 28 receptions, 547 yards and 5 touchdowns during his first starting season, and junior Terry Bussey, who has yet to live up to his elite potential, experience will not be an issue, while the offseason addition of Alabama transfer WR Isaiah Horton, who brings much-needed size to the rotation at 6'4" completes one of the more dangerous receiver room in the nation.

Redshirt freshman and former five-star wideout Jerome Myles, and freshman Aaron Gregory, who stood out this spring as one of several first-year players who could see early playing time, provide redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed with the size, speed, and versatility to keep Craver, Bethel-Roman, Bussey, and Horton healthy and avoid overusage later in the year.

Among returning wide receivers in the SEC, Isaiah Horton's 8 touchdowns last season with the Crimson Tide lead the conference, along with Ashton Bethel-Roman (5) and Mario Craver (4), making Texas A&M the only SEC program with three receivers on the list of most touchdown receptions.

Marcel Reed's focus this offseason has been improving his accuracy, touch, and decision-making in the pocket, especially eliminating "mental mistakes" that led to throwing four interceptions in losses to Texas and Miami in the first round of the College Football Playoff last season. If Reed fails to reach his ceiling, no one can blame this wide receiver rotation; that's for sure.
