Texas Football is losing yet another player to the NCAA transfer portal. Former five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench will leave the Longhorns with four full years of eligibility left.
Ffrench was a key part of UT’s No. 1 ranked 2025 recruiting class. Ffrench committed to Texas over LSU, Miami, and Tennessee. The signing was huge recruiting coup and was a huge reason Texas had the top class. The Jacksonville, FL product had originally committed to Alabama, but reopened his recruitment after Nick Saban retired.
But at Texas, Ffrench struggled to make an impact or the lineup. Other members of the 2024 WR moved ahead of Ffrench, including Daylan McCutcheon and Kaliq Lockett. Lockett caught a TD in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl win over Michigan. Ffrench only got 22 snaps during the season.
