Texas football news: Of course Glen Powell is joining College GameDay for Ohio State showdown

“What is up, y’all? Glen Powell here. I’m your celebrity guest picker this week,” he excitedly revealed. “This Saturday, I am coming to you from my hometown of Austin, Texas, where my Texas Longhorns are facing off against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Two powerhouse programs clashing in the greatest city on the planet.”

Will Glen Powell be at the Texas-Ohio State football game?

Expect Powell to be at the Longhorns-Buckeyes game. At the very least, he will be on the College GameDay set to make his picks. However, more than likely, he will also be at the game.

Powell was born and raised in Texas, explaining his Longhorns fandom. He is currently completing his degree at the University of Texas at Austin.

The Texas-Ohio State matchup is one of the most highly anticipated of the year. Last year, the teams met in Week 1, losing 14-7. However, it was Arch Manning’s first start as the unquestioned starting quarterback. It was played on the road, adding to the difficulty.

This year, Manning has a full year as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback under his belt. He played well in the Longhorns’ blowout win over Texas State in Week 1. Manning passed for 305 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in the game.

Julian Sayin played well in Ohio State’s decimation of the Ball State Cardinals. He passed for 320 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in the Week 1 game. Additionally, he rushed for a touchdown.
