While the start of the 2027 college football season is over a year away, the Longhorns have been busy on the recruiting trail. On Tuesday, they continued adding options to the table by offering three-star recruit Kasen Jammer. While the Longhorns defense would get a boost with the talented cornerback in the mix, they are not the only program interested in his services.

Jammer is the son of former Texas Longhorns great Quentin Jammer. Quentin played for Mack Brown at Texas from 1997 to 2001. He was a unanimous first-team All-American as a senior in 2001 and set the school record for pass breakups with 57. He went on to have a successful 12-year NFL career.

During the recruiting process, Kasen has received offers from Utah, Duke, Boston College, Baylor, Arizona, Maryland, Missouri State, and Coastal Carolina. That list could continue to grow the longer that the Angleton High star stays on the market. The heavy interest comes as no surprise, given how Jammer is viewed by scouts.

Currently, the Texas native is ranked as the 94th-best corner in the nation by 247Sports Composite. They also rank Jammer as the 132nd best player from the Lone Star State. If he continues to improve in his final high school season, those rankings could look a little different at this time next year.

If Jammer were to join the Longhorns, he would be part of a 2027 class full of talent. The Longhorns have secured commitments from four-star recruits Easton Royal, Cameron Hall, Derwin Fields, and Karnell James. They will be joined by three-star recruits Keyon Hemphill-Woods, JT Geraci, Cade Haug, Ty Knutson, and Jackson Cook.

For Texas, the next step is to get Jammer to campus for a visit. That will allow head coach Steve Sarkisian to show Jammer what his future as a Longhorn could hold. As Jammer continues to weigh his options, he will be a player to watch, with many programs still in the mix.
