Texas Longhorns hang onto No. 1 spot in US LBM Coaches Poll

After a concerning and lackluster 30-6 win over the UTSA Roadrunners, the Texas Longhorns remain in the No. 1 spot of the newest US LBM Coaches Poll. UT received 42 first place votes. No. 2 Georgia had 15.
Arch Manning and the Texas crashed down to earth against the Roadrunners. After the high of the epic comeback over Ohio State, the Longhorns offense were mistake-prone and sloppy against UTSA. But it was enough to get a win, so the voters left UT at the top.
Notre Dame, Indiana and Miami make up the rest of the top five. Ole Miss jumped up to No. 6 after beating former coach Lane Kiffin and LSU. The Rebels are followed by Ohio State, Alabama, BYU and Texas Tech in the top 10.
The Texas A&M Aggies took a significant tumble down the rankings, falling 12 spots to No. 20 after losing to Kentucky at Kyle Field. LSU fell just four spots. SMU plummeted nine places to No. 25 after losing to Louisville.
The SEC now has ten ranked teams, including the top two. The Big Ten lands eight, the ACC and Big 12 both have three. Texas' next opponent, the Tennessee Volunteers, are ranked No. 13.
