Texas Longhorns offer 2027 three-star linebacker Jason Crenshaw Jr.

Texas isn't letting the fact that they have one of the top recruiting classes in the 2027 cycle make them content. They want more, and the linebacker spot is one they haven't gotten a commitment from yet. With that said, they have extended an offer to three-star recruit Jason Crenshaw Jr. out of Prattville, Alabama. He's currently committed to Georgia Tech.

Crenshaw is listed as the nation's No. 879 prospect and the No. 71 linebacker according to 247Sports composite rankings. He's also the state of Alabama's No. 37 player.

Other big-time schools are working to flip Crenshaw such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Ohio State. So, that's not only elite competition for Georgia Tech but Texas as well.

A big reason why schools are clamoring to get a commitment from Crenshaw is the incredibly strong start he's had to his senior campaign. He has produced 31 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one forced fumble, and he's scored two touchdowns.

The next step for the Longhorns is to find a way to get Crenshaw on campus for a visit.
