As the Texas Longhorns continue to improve their 2027 class, they have turned their attention to the kicking game. On Wednesday, they offered three-star recruit Noah Ash. The Ponte Vedra High star is ranked as one of the best kickers in his class and has drawn interest from programs nationwide.

While the Longhorns have made their interest clear, they do have a couple of schools to beat out. During the recruiting process, Ash has received offers from Arkansas, Vanderbilt, East Carolina, and Tennessee. He has also taken visits to Georgia and Auburn. Although more programs are expected to enter the mix, head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff have already made a good first impression.

The interest in Ash comes as no surprise, given how he is viewed by scouts. The Longhorns recruiting target is ranked as the best kicker in his class by 247Sports. They also rank the Florida native as the 148th best player from the Sunshine State. With one year of high school football to go, Ash could see his stock rise.

If Ash were to commit to Texas, he would be part of a 2027 class that is already highly regarded. The Longhorns have secured commitments from four-star recruits Easton Royal and Cameron Hall. They will be joined by three-star recruits JT Geraci, Cade Haug, Karnell James, Ty Knutson, and Jackson Cook. With more players still weighing their options, that list should continue to grow.

Regardless of what other moves are made over the next few weeks, Texas has made Ash one of their top targets. The next step will be getting him to campus so Sarkisian and his staff can show the Florida native what his future as a Longhorn would be like. If they can make Ash an offer he can't refuse, then a major void will be filled.
