The Texas Longhorns hold a 7-2 record, with losses to the Ohio State Buckeyes (14-7) and the Florida Gators (29-21).
Since their loss to Florida on Oct. 4, they’ve ripped off four straight wins, with two coming against ranked opponents (Oklahoma Sooners and Vanderbilt Commodores).
The other two wins came against Kentucky and Mississippi State, both in overtime.
As the Longhorns continue to push for their third straight College Football Playoff berth, they are currently on a bye ahead of their Nov. 15 game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
Steve Sarkisian and his staff haven’t sat back and enjoyed the week off. Instead, they’ve been out of the recruiting trail and extending new offers to recruits across the country.
On Friday, one recruit took to social media to announce they landed an offer to Texas.
“Blessed and honored to receive an offer from THE University of Texas,” said Legend Bey, a class of 2026 quarterback.

Bey goes to North Forney High School in Forney, Texas, and is rated as a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s currently committed to play for the Tennessee Volunteers and made that decision back on June 28.
Bey isn’t the only high school recruit to land an offer from Texas on Friday.
The Longhorns also offered a class of 2026 defensive back in Josiah Vilmael.
