Texas TE Nick Townsend removed from Thursday injury report

After missing two games with a bone bruise sustained against the Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas Longhorns sophomore tight end Nick Townsend was moved from probable to available on the SEC-mandated injury report released on Thursday.
Townsend missed two games after suffering his knee injury, but will now make his return in the Red River Rivalry against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday in Dallas.
Sophomore defensive lineman Justus Terry was upgraded from doubtful to questionable on Thursday. The Georgia product hasn’t played since he injured his toe during pregame warmups prior to the Week 2 matchup against Ohio State.
Listed as doubtful on Wednesday, sophomore wide receiver Kaliq Lockett was downgraded to out on Thursday, joining sophomore offensive lineman Jordan Coleman, who was ruled out for the second straight game on Wednesday, and sophomore defensive tackle Zion Williams. The big LSU transfer was not listed on Wednesday’s injury report before appearing on Thursday.
For Oklahoma, offensive lineman Fred Hinton was ruled out while left tackle Michael Fasusi remains doubtful. Several other players — wide receiver Jer’Michael Carter, defensive back Michael Boganowksi, and tight end Jack Van Dorselaer — were elevated from doubtful to probable.
