Why Texas Tech Will Win
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Texas Tech didn’t hang 85 on the board against Abilene Christian. Whatever.
Will Hammond hit 26-of-33 passes for almost 300 yards. The defense didn’t allow anything until the game was effectively over, and the coaching staff used the paycheck game like a big practice – there wasn’t any real drama.
The Red Raiders will turn it on against the rebuilding Oregon State defense when they want to.
Why Oregon State Will Win
The Beavers are going to throw it around the yard under new head coach JaMarcus Shephard.
His team will always give a high-powered effort. It kept on pushing against Houston, with Braden Atkinson throwing for 376 yards with a slew of big pass plays to keep everything moving and make the Cougars work.
Texas Tech vs Oregon State Prediction, Betting Lines

At home, Oregon State will take its game up a few notches. There won’t be any running game, and the defense will be in for a long day, but the game will be far more interesting than the final score.
