It’s Thursday, and we are still rolling out new preview content for Kickoff Week. Today looks at the fourth post of the week, the All-Coach team. As the name suggests, our team voted on the best coach at each position and listed them all on one team. Some spots were more difficult to identify than others, but we put together a good team nonetheless. Check it out below, and if you missed out on anything from earlier in the week, be sure to catch up on our previous posts.
For this list, we tried to keep it straightforward. A head coach, three coordinators, nine position assistants, plus recruiting and strength staff. Many defensive spots have multiple coaches on the DL, LB, or in the secondary, but we listed them all as one spot, plus a pass-rush coach, in an attempt to simplify it. Some voters did not vote for coaches who didn’t coach in the Mountain West last year, while others valued newcomers based on their performances at other schools. Also, coordinators can be voted for in the position they coach, although it doesn’t always show up in the final votes.
Check out how our votes turned out with coaches this season.

Notes:
- There was only one unanimous pick in this group: WR Coach Billy Ray Stuzmann.
- Zach Lujan was named the tight ends coach despite being new to the conference this season.
- The closest position battles were head coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive line coaches.
- Five different coaches received votes for the running backs, and four coaches for the defensive backs category.
- As shown above, UNLV and New Mexico dominated the list, accounting for about two-thirds of it. On the other hand, half of the conference’s teams featured at least one coach.
- 5 coaches from our 2025 postseason list appear in this version. Eight coaches were on teams that left the conference, and another coach left for another position. That means that only one coach from last year’s list returned and did not make this year’s list.
There it is. So let’s hear it. Who did we snub? Who did we put on here that shouldn’t be? Let’s hear your feedback in the comments section.
