These are the five stars from Notre Dame's 49-10 blowout win over Navy

The No. 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish rolled over the Navy Midshipmen by a score of 49-10 in South Bend on Saturday, and these are the five stars for the Fighting Irish.

These five players drove the Irish and turned a game that was somewhat competitive in the first half into a blowout as rain and snow descended upon Notre Dame Stadium.

Running back Jeremiyah Love could’ve once again been in this slot, but it’s really been Carr’s night. With the Irish blowing out Navy, Carr was lifted early, and his final numbers were an impressive 13-for-16 for 218 yards and three touchdowns. One of the three incompletions was a drop that should’ve been caught.

Love didn’t break the 100-yard barrier on the ground — he finished with just 94 — but he still had another brilliant game. He had two rushing touchdowns, including one that needs to be seen to be believed, and he got Notre Dame out of trouble on its opening drive with a clutch catch and run for 27 yards.

The transfer wide receiver had four catches for 97 yards. He didn’t score, but his receptions helped keep the Irish driving. His longest was 52 yards.

The two-sport star had four catches for 27 yards, a touchdown, and a long of 16 yards. Like Fields, he helped keep the offense rolling in the second half.

Notre Dame’s backup running back had a relatively pedestrian 47 yards on 10 carries with a long of just 12 yards, but he did have a touchdown early that helped Notre Dame respond to Navy’s first score.
