Three-star LB Jason Crenshaw Jr. locks in official visit with Texas

The Longhornsextended an offer to 2027 three-star linebacker Jason Crenshaw Jr. earlier this week. Things have progressed very quickly as now the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder has locked in an official visit with Texas. He will be in Austin the weeks they play Ole Miss, and will be a two day trip.

In the 2027 cycle, Texas has one of the top classes. However, they don't have a pledge from a linebacker, which explains why they're going full throttle on flipping him from Georgia Tech.

Texas is the biggest offer on the table for Crenshaw. He is currently committed to Georgia Tech, but getting him on campus for such a huge matchup with Ole Miss could make things very interesting.

Crenshaw is the No. 879 recruit nationally and the No. 71 linebacker per 247Sports composite rankings. They have him listed as the No. 37 prospect in the state of Alabama as well.
