USC’s 2027 recruiting class is continuing to grow. On Saturday, the Trojans picked up another commitment, landing three-star tight end Jace Cannon.

Cannon comes USC from San Mateo, California. He chose the Trojans over Michigan, Texas A&M, Stanford, and Cal.

247Sports Composite ranks Cannon as the No. 539 overall player in the class of 2027. They also have him as the No. 32 tight end in the class and the No. 46 player in the state of California.

“Love the whole staff,” Cannon told Blair Angulo of 247Sports last week. “They’ve done a great job recruiting me.

“Gotten to connect with coach Lincoln Riley a few times. Always have a memorable time when I visit. Really believe in the direction the program is going.”

After signing the No. 1 recruiting class in the country in 2026, the Trojans currently hold the No. 3 class in the country for the 2027 cycle, per 247Sports’s rankings. Could consecutive top classes be in store for USC? Given the program’s current recruiting trajectory, it would not be surprising to see such.
