We live in a college football world of lists, rankings, and countdowns. Many players on Notre Dame’s roster have been talked about and written about over the last few months — so let’s fall in line.

This will be my official Top 20 Notre Dame Football Players ranking. I will unveil each player, and list the three things I like about them. It seems simple enough, but I have no doubt that some of these ratings will be highly criticized, but you can always share your thoughts in the comments below.

#6 Jordan Faison WR

Total concentration

As everyone knows, Jordan Faison came to Notre Dame to play lacrosse, and walked on to the Fighting Irish football team. Since then, he had split time between the two programs. This spring, however, Faison made the tough decision to step away from lacrosse and concentrate on his role with the football team. It just showed how absolutely locked in he is for this year, and has bought into the “leave no doubt” mantra.

He’s always open

It’s crazy to think about how long it finally took Faison to get some snaps during his first year in 2023. Finally, this kid who everyone said looked like the best WR on the roster, got to play against Louisville midway through the season – and he looked great. Faison seemingly is ALWAYS open. I don’t know how many times over the last few years we’ve seen a Notre Dame QB (even CJ) not see Faison running wide open, but I suspect that this year will be different.

A championship mindset

Jordan Faison is a national champion. That same will, drive, and grit that it took to help the Irish win a lacrosse national championship will help serve him to maybe do the same with the football team this season. Winners have a winner’s mindset, and Faison is already there.
