Three defensive backs in Vanderbilt football's 2026 recruiting class — four-stars Collin Flanigan and Chris Tangelo, and three-star Antione Baker — are no longer part of the football program, though they remain enrolled at the university, a program spokesperson said March 3.

Tangelo was a safety from Germantown, Maryland; Flanigan a cornerback from Oxford, Mississippi; and Baker a cornerback from Austin.

Each of the three had enrolled early as part of the Commodores' 33rd-ranked freshman class. But they are no longer on the team before even having the chance to participate in spring practice. Vanderbilt's spring game will be held on April 18 at FirstBank Stadium.

Vanderbilt added two cornerbacks in recent days: Jaylin Davies, a transfer from Oklahoma State, and Bishop Starling, an incoming freshman from Ensworth High School. The Commodores also added cornerback Cobey Sellers from the portal during the fall transfer window.
