Thursday Dots: Mossed Him
INGLEWOOD, CA – DECEMBER 13: Washington Huskies wide receiver Denzel Boston (12) catches the ball for a touchdown during the LA Bowl hosted by Gronk between the Boise State Broncos and the Washington Huskies on December 13, 2025, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. I’m gonna learn the best way to walk
I’m gonna search and find a better way to talk
I’m gonna spit and polish my old rough-edged Dots
Till I get rid of every single flaw

  • Last season, Denzel Boston stood out on the UW receiving depth chart, not just because he was the most experienced pass-catcher, but also because he had so much more size than anyone else in the group. It raised the question of what would happen when he left for the NFL; would the Dawgs have anyone who could replicate his physical tendencies? Christian Caple writes that Christian Moss has been the player in practice who has assumed that role. Moss, a transfer from Kennesaw St, is 6’3”, 205 lbs., and has the profile of someone who can dominate a DB in press coverage. With freshman Jordan Clay behind him on the depth chart, the position looks much deeper than a year ago.

  • On the other end of the career spectrum, UW legend Myles Gaskin announced his retirement from professional football. Gaskin’s best seasons in the NFL came in 2020-21 with Miami, when he ran for a combined 1,196 yards and caught another 90 passes. He has been a fringe player since 2022, but picked up a Super Bowl ring with the Seahawks last year.

  • In addition to Caple’s write-up on Christian Moss, Dawgman has comments from Kevin Cummings on the progress of the receiving corps in camp so far. Cummings also highlights Moss for his growth, but points out that second-year Chris Lawson has also made a big impact. Lawson has the advantage that he can play any of the three WR roles, so he can find his way onto the field in several different ways.

  • It was not easy, but Washington Women’s Soccer improved to 2-0 with a 1-0 win over San Diego State. The Dawgs had to go on the road to pick up the victory and scored their lone goal on a second-half penalty kick. SDSU out-shot the Huskies with 11 attempts and put 5 on goal.
