BATON ROUGE – Lane Kiffin and LSU football won’t have to be in the market for a tight end this transfer portal window.

Trey’Dez Green, the Tigers’ standout tight end, has agreed to a new deal with LSU, according to multiple reports.

Green has recently expressed his desire to remain in Baton Rouge but in today’s day and age of collegiate sports, there are few guarantees. And LSU made keeping the top tight end in Baton Rouge a priority as Kiffin and LSU’s new staff worked with Green’s representative on a new agreement.

After news of the two sides reaching a deal, Kiffin shared a note via his X page that said; “Just getting started.”

Over the last few days, LSU has been able to convince star linebacker Whit Weeks, cornerbacks D.J. Pickett, P.J. Woodland and Ja’Keem Jackson, defensive tackle Dominick McKinley and safety Dashawn Spears to stay on in Baton Rouge.

Green is the biggest domino to fall on the offensive side of the ball for LSU to this point as Kiffin is known for his offensive schemes and philosophies.

This past season was Green’s best to date as he tallied 33 receptions for 443 yards and led LSU in receiving touchdowns with seven.
