With three games remaining in the regular season, No. 3 Texas A&M (9-0, 6-0 SEC) is coming off its second consecutive blowout road win in SEC play after defeating Missouri 38-17, just two weeks after destroying LSU 49-25 for the program’s first win in Baton Rouge since 1994. Heading back to Kyle Field for the first time in over a month, the Aggies will host South Carolina (3-6, 1-6 SEC) with eyes on staying undefeated.
After facing the Gamecocks, Texas A&M will host the Samford Bulldogs on Saturday, November 22, just six days before the Aggies head to Austin to take on No. 10 Texas, which could pose as the most impactful game of the year thus far. However, head coach Mike Elko and his talented roster aren’t looking ahead; they’re focused on each week’s opponent to prevent any slip-ups, with every postseason goal squarely in place.
Last week, it was reported that Samford head coach Chris Hatcher was fired after leading the Bulldogs to 62 wins, including three postseason appearances in the FCS playoffs. While this change likely would not have altered the outcome, Texas A&M will need to be ready for Samford to play free and try to keep the game close early, especially if the Aggies are slacking off in preparation for the Longhorns.
Even though Texas A&M could enter the game 10-0, the game will not be available on either of the major networks, which isn’t a shock. It will be available to stream on SEC Network+, which is available to everyone with an ESPN app and an ESPN+ subscription.
Texas A&M will host Samford on Saturday, November 22, at 11:00 a.m.
