Tom Brady is returning to the gridiron this Saturday for the first time since his retirement in February 2023.
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer, is undoubtedly the most accomplished quarterback the sport has ever seen. He finished his NFL career with 89,214 passing yards, 649 touchdowns and a plethora of records, including most wins for a quarterback, most passing yards in a postseason game and most wins in a single regular season by a starting quarterback.
So why is Brady playing in a televised football game this Saturday? The legendary quarterback has agreed to compete in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
This inaugural event from Fanatics will feature some of the biggest names competing in an Olympic-style flag football game. Brady has been named co-captains along with Jalen Hurts for Founders FFC. They'll square off against Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels and Wildcats FFC.
Brady reminded his fans that he'll be back in action this Saturday afternoon. He shared a photo of himself throwing a pass along with this caption: "We're playing football today."
The Fanatics Flag Football Classic will begin at 4 p.m. ET on FOX.
As you'd imagine, NFL fans are eager to see Brady in his element once again.
"Idc if its flag i'm taking any opportunity to watch the goat spin the football again," a Patriots fan said.
"Gonna tune in just to watch the GOAT," a second fan wrote.
"I guarantee Monday the debate shows are gonna be all about Can Tom Brady be Team USA's QB at the 2028 Olympics?" another fan commented.
