One of the Alabama Crimson Tide‘s top 2027 high school recruiting targets has reportedly narrowed down his list of finalists.

That prospect is highly-touted quarterback Elijah Haven, who, according to Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, has narrowed his list of finalists down to Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia. A commitment date is not currently set for Haven as well.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Haven is currently considered as the nation’s No. 27 overall player in the 2027 class, as well as the No. 2 quarterback nationally. Rated as a five-star prospect, Haven also ranks as the No. 4 overall player in the state of Louisiana where he attends Dunham School.

Haven is also coming off a stellar 2025 junior season in which he led Dunham to a state championship, completing 72.3% of passes for 3,931 yards and a 62:7 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 794 yards and 11 more touchdowns on 127 attempts.

The five-star quarterback is a prospect Alabama has been in the mix for dating back to the early fall, even predicted to land the commitment of the signal caller a few months ago. Following the report of his narrowed down finalists, it appears Alabama is still heavily in the mix for Haven as well, and time will ultimately tell if the Crimson Tide land the talented quarterback.

Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class currently consists of four total commitments, one of which is from a quarterback in Trent Seaborn. Seaborn is rated a four-star prospect, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, out of Thompson High School in Alabama.
