According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, current Alabama Crimson Tide assistant coach Nick Sheridan is expected to become the next offensive coordinator at Michigan State.
Among the assistants to follow Kalen DeBoer to Alabama from Washington, Sheridan has spent last two seasons in Tuscaloosa as a top offensive assistant for the Crimson Tide, currently serving as the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Sheridan also served as Alabama’s offensive coordinator and play caller during the 2024 season, a year in which the Crimson Tide ranked No. 22 nationally with an average of 33.8 points a game, and has been key in the development of Ty Simpson.
Sheridan would become the second Alabama assistant to land a job elsewhere in recent weeks, joining former wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard, who was named the head coach at Oregon State.
