The transfer portal doesn't officially open until January 2, 2026, but there have already been a number of LSU Tigers players that have made their intentions known.
It's not shocking to see a bit of an exodus of talent for any team in the current landscape of college football, especially one undergoing a coaching change. The good news for the Tigers, though, is that they haven't lost a ton of major contributors yet.
Here's a running list of LSU players in the portal, which will be updated as more people enter it:
RB Kaleb Jackson
Jackson built a name for himself fast in his Tigers career for his hard-nosed running style, but he never really progressed. Over three seasons, he had 82 carries for 331 yards and four touchdowns. He played in just four games this year, which will give him a redshirt year for his new school.
RB Ju'Juan Johnson
Johnson is a fan favorite that many would love see come back to LSU. He was a quarterback in high school, switched to cornerback in college and then became a running back when needed. He's a team-first-minded player who can impact in several ways. He had 67 touches over two years for 223 yards and a touchdown.
WR Jelani Watkins
Watkins ended his time as a Tiger with just two catches for 35 yards. He's a smaller wideout, but is blazing fast. It would have been nice to see LSU find ways to get him the ball, but there wasn't much production to go around in the offense in the first place.
WR Kylan Billiot
Speaking of receivers that never carved out a role, Billiot was a top-100 player in the 2024 class. He played just four snaps and was never targeted. The 6-foot-3 receiver felt like a fun potential weapon, but just hasn't materialized into anything.
EDGE Ahmad Breaux
Breaux is one of the biggest contributors that the Tigers have lost to the portal so far. He was a regular part of the defensive line rotation over his two years with the team. He had 36 tackles with four for a lass and half a sack.
DL Sydir Mitchell
Mitchell was an interesting case. He transferred to LSU from the Texas Longhorns, but never actually played a game for the Tigers. He left the program back in September.
CB Ashton Stamps
Stamps worked his way into the defense as a freshman back in 2023. He then started every single game in 2024, developing into a solid corner despite a terrible overall defense. He was buried on the depth chart this season and played just 18 snaps.
