It didn’t take long for recently decommitted Notre Dame quarterback Trey Tagliaferri to find a new home, in what has turned into quite the whirlwind recruitment.
The New Jersey native committed to the Irish on June 25th, then on Wednesday he opted to go back on the market. On Friday Tagliaferri committed to Oklahoma, who many thought was his next destination following his decision to reopen his recruitment.
At 6-foot, 1-inches and 190-pounds, he clearly was a coveted option in the class, one of just four of the top-20 quarterbacks in the 2028 class who have committed. It’s unfortunate for Notre Dame, as now a pair of its four offers in the class have chosen their schools. The Irish still have some good options remaining, but will have to make a few adjustments to their class board.
