Trinidad Chambliss wanted the win against LSU and Lane Kiffin.

He told reporters as much following Mississippi's top-10 win over the Tigers at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19. In between his media obligations, he left a message — and a subtle shot — for his former head coach on social media.

"#JustDifferent," Chambliss wrote on the post. He was posing with members of Ole Miss' roster in the Rebels locker room with a cigar in his mouth and his teammates hoisting the Magnolia Bowl trophy.

Chambliss' choice of words was a bit pointed.

In his introductory news conference at LSU in December, Kiffin said he chose to leave Ole Miss because LSU is "different." He' has also used it on social media, including a Jan. 1 post in which he quote-tweeted an LSU hype video on the eve of the transfer portal opening.

"This place is different. Having watched this place for a long time and from the other sideline. This place is different, and that’s why we’re here," Kiffin said at his introductory news conference.

Chambliss scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Rebels in the fourth quarter on a 14-yard quarterback keeper. His score not only stopped the bleeding for the Rebels, as LSU had outscored Mississippi 17-0 at that point of the second half, but also proved to be the game-winner in a 32-24 victory.

Chambliss finished 33-of-48 passes for 363 yards, three total touchdowns and an interception.

Mississippi moved up to No. 6 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll following the win over LSU, bumping ahead of Ohio State in the process. The Tigers travel to Florida on Saturday, Sept. 26 for the start of a two-game SEC road trip.
