Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss may have taken a huge shot at Lane Kiffin this week.
The Mississippi Supreme Court recently denied the NCAA petition's to appeal a ruling that'll allow Chambliss to suit up this fall. While at spring practice on Tuesday, the 23-year-old quarterback was asked about playing for head coach Pete Golding. He took over the program after Kiffin left for LSU in December.
Chambliss praised Golding for being a "team guy" and great leader. It's also worth noting that he referred to Kiffin as his old coach.
"I would say I mean just the personalities are a little different than our old coach and coach Golding," said Chambliss. "I’d say he’s more of like a team guy. We really value his leadership, whatever he says. He's going to show you faster than he's going to tell you. He leads by his actions, and we really appreciate it."
Clearly, those remarks from Chambliss really annoyed LSU fans. They fired back at him on social media Tuesday night.
"The only reason you're relevant is because of your old coach. Don't forget it. You also were going to transfer and play for him," one fan replied.
"This video will be bookmarked by every LSU fan for Sept 19th when Golding is rocked by Lane," a second fan said.
"This bum needs to get a job 8th year college man is insane," a social media user wrote.
"Quite the endorsement of LK from Trinidad," another person sarcastically commented.

Mark your calendars this September.
On Sept. 19, Kiffin will lead LSU's team into battle against Ole Miss at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford.
We'd have to imagine the student section for Ole Miss will greet Kiffin with boos the minute he steps onto the field.
Kiffin, on the other hand, would probably love nothing more than to silence the Ole Miss crowd with a statement win.
