Welcome to Tuesday, Bulldog fans! But not just any Tuesday – the last Tuesday of 2025. It just so happens to roll around 2 days before the Georgia Bulldogs play a quarterfinal match against the Ole Miss Rebels in the Sugar Bowl. It’s a late kick of 8 pm ET, which means this game with its infinite TV commercial breaks and review booth replays could easily slip into the midnight hour. With that in mind, but the fact you have seen this match up before, Ladies & Gentlemen… The Rolling Stones!
Is Colbie Young going to play in the Sugar Bowl? is Ethan Barbour ready to suit up? Both have been sighted at practice, and named by coaches, as day-to-day but with a possibility to play Thursday night. That is 2 more big bodies, 2 more versatile players who can get matchups in our favor, and both can block for Zachariah Branch.
The UGA football team flew to New Orleans Monday, and will have coach and player media availability Tuesday morning. There will also be a practice for both teams Tuesday, with a small window of cameras allowed. Wednesday morning will be the dais-style press conference with both Pete Golding and Kirby Smart taking questions.
Gary Danielson is finally going to listen to his audience. He will officially “Shut up, Gary” Wednesday 12:00 MST as he calls the Arizona State/Duke matchup at the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, his last TV broadcast. He may have carried the torch for Nick Saban and Alabama a little too blatantly, but overall he was one of the better ones. 3 of 4 things he said were poignant, or insightful, and added to the broadcast. It was just that 4th thing out of his mouth that drove us bonkers. But we’ll always have him, Uncle Verne, and Souja Boy in our hearts.
The Lady Bulldogs hit the hardwood of Stegeman Monday afternoon for the last time in 2025, and they finished it in style via a 45 point margin against Charleston Southern to finish their non-conference schedule at 14-0. The men’s team also played Monday at Stegeman, and handled Long Island University to enter conference play at 13-1.
Everybody don’t got to go, because we hope you’ll stick around and let us know what you see happening before the Bulldogs play for the first time in over 3 weeks. Player discipline, injuries, returns from injuries, mindset of the teams, let us know whatever you got. Have a great day everyone, and as always…
