Tulsa football ends five-game losing streak with win over Oregon State

Week 12 of the 2025 college football season is in the books.

Here’s how every college football team in the state of Oklahoma fared.

NCAA Division I

Oklahoma

Oklahoma (8-2) upset then-no. 4 Alabama 23-21 in Tuscaloosa, breaking the Crimson Tide’s 17-game winning streak at home. The Sooner defense stood out in the game, led by redshirt junior linebacker Kip Lewis with seven tackles, all solo, including two TFL. OU’s playoff future will be decided by the Sooners‘ performance in the next two games at home. Next up is a home game against No. 21 Missouri at 11 a.m. Saturday (ABC or ESPN).

Oklahoma State

OSU (1-9) fell to Kansas State 14-6 at home. The Cowboys held their opponent to the lowest number of points since the team’s Week 1 win over UT-Martin with a defense led by redshirt senior safety Parker Robertson, who recorded five solo tackles, three assisted for eight total. Next up is a road game against UCF at 3 p.m. Saturday (ESPN+).

Tulsa

Tulsa (3-7) defeated Oregon State 31-14 at home. Junior linebacker Ray Coney led the Golden Hurricane defensively with 10 tackles and one sack, while redshirt senior running back Dominic Richardson, a former OSU and McGuinness standout, led the team offensively with a season-high 166 rushing yards on 27 carries and a touchdown. Next up is a road game against Army at 11 a.m. Saturday (CBSSN).

NCAA Division II

Central Oklahoma

Central Oklahoma (6-5, 6-3 MIAA) took down Missouri Western 54-10 on the road to conclude its season. Sophomore running back Dev Matthews totaled 132 yards on 14 carries with three rushing touchdowns. After winning the MIAA last season, UCO finished third behind co-champions Northwest Missouri and Pittsburg State.

East Central

East Central (6-5) fell to Southeastern Oklahoma State 24-19 on the road in the last game of the season. Redshirt senior wide receiver Brooks Rigney led the Tigers with six catches for 137 yards, including the 74-yard touchdown that opened the scoring, marking the final game of his collegiate career. ECU was the highest-ranked Oklahoma team in the final Great American Conference standings, finishing sixth.

Northeastern State

Northeastern State (8-3) defeated West Alabama 33-20 on the road. Sophomore running back Ramon McKinney Jr. led the RiverHawks, rushing 18 times for 109 yards, including a 69-yard first-quarter scoring run, and finished with 118 all-purpose yards. He became NSU’s first 1,000-yard rusher since 2012. NSU, winner of six straight, now hopes for a spot in the NCAA Division II postseason as an independent team.

Northwestern Oklahoma State

NWOSU (2-9) was nearly shutout by Southwestern Oklahoma State in a 45-3 home loss. Sophomore kicker Kale Purvis scored the only points of the night for the Rangers with a 53-yard field goal in the second quarter. NWOSU finished 10th in the GAC standings.

Oklahoma Baptist

OBU (2-9) fell to Southern Nazarene 49-19 on the road. Sophomore safety Caleb Giles led the Bison defensively, with nine tackles. Oklahoma Baptist finished the season 11th, just ahead of last place, in the final GAC standings.

Southeastern Oklahoma State

SEOSU (5-6) defeated East Central 24-19 at home. Sophomore running back Donovan Shannon led the Savage Storm with 73 yards on the ground on 17 carries. SEOSU finished eighth in the GAC standings.

Southern Nazarene

SNU (2-9) earned its second win of the season in dominant fashion, taking down Oklahoma Baptist 49-19. The Crimson Storm recorded a season high of 431 rushing yards, led by redshirt freshman quarterback Kaden Manuel with 14 carries for 100 yards. Despite the win, SNU finished the season in last place in the GAC standings.

Southwestern Oklahoma State

SWOSU (6-5) closed out its season with a dominating 45-3 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State. Senior running back Malik Robertson led the Bulldogs with 89 yards on only five carries, highlighted by a 67-yard burst. SWOSU finished the year seventh in the GAC.

NAIA

Langston

Langston (3-7) defeated Oklahoma Panhandle State 17-10 in the season finale. Langston finished fifth in the Sooner Athletic Conference at the end of the season.

Oklahoma Panhandle State

Oklahoma Panhandle State (3-7) fell to Langston 17-10 to close out its season. OPSU finished seventh in the SAC at the end of the season.

NJCAA

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (6-4) finished its 2025 season with a 65-48 win over Kilgore College (Texas) in Week 11. NEO will face Tyler Junior College (Texas) in the conference tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday.
