TV channel, kickoff time announced for Georgia football vs. Vanderbilt

The Georgia Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0 SEC) host the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-1, 0-1 SEC) in Week 5 SEC action. The kickoff time for the Georgia-Vanderbilt game is at 12:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 3 and the game will be televised on SEC Network.

The SEC did not announce the TV channel and kickoff time for the Georgia-Vanderbilt game until after Week 4 games concluded on Saturday. The Alabama Crimson Tide versus Mississippi State Bulldogs game will be at noon on ABC with Georgia-Vanderbilt being bumped to SEC Network. Alabama-Mississippi State is between two ranked and undefeated teams.

In Week 4, No. 2 Georgia dominated the No. 24 Oklahoma Sooners in a 41-13 win where Georgia jumped out to a 28-0 first half lead. The Bulldogs capitalized on four Oklahoma turnovers. Vanderbilt fell 21-15 on the road at Auburn in game where the Commodores settled for four field goal attempts and struggled to get much going offensively. The Vanderbilt defense did play well, but it was not enough in what was quarterback Jared Curtis' first ever road start.

After Georgia's big win over Oklahoma, the Bulldogs can't overlook Vanderbilt. The Dawgs play the Commodores a week before playing at Alabama.

Georgia has won the last six meeting against Vanderbilt. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 61-20-2 over the Commodores.
