Auburn football’s list of players declaring their intention to enter the transfer portal grew by two on Sunday, as a pair of offensive linemen are set to find a new home.
Favour Ebuka Edwin and DeAndre Carter, a pair of freshmen offensive linemen for the Tigers, announced Sunday that they plan to enter the transfer portal once the window opens on Jan. 2. Auburn’s running list of projected offensive transfers rises to eight as the pair becomes the first members of the offensive line to share their intent to transfer.
Edwin did not log a snap during his time at Auburn after signing with the 2024 recruiting class. The 6-6, 300-pound lineman was a three-star product out of Eagles Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Georgia, and was the No. 53 offensive tackle in the cycle. He also ranked No. 69 in the state of Georgia for the class of 2024.
Carter is the most notable name of this update to announce plans to enter the transfer portal. A former four-star lineman, Carter signed with Auburn in 2024 from the prestigious Mater Dei football program in California. He was the No. 15 interior offensive lineman of the class and ranked No. 19 among players from California in 2024. Carter appeared in eight games during his two seasons on the Plains, mostly at left guard. He played 40 snaps as a true freshman in 2024 before seeing his production decrease to 26 snaps in 2025.
Eight offensive players are now set to enter the transfer portal in January. The biggest name to announce their plan to leave is wide receiver Malcolm Simmons, who recorded 65 catches for 908 yards and five touchdowns in two seasons at Auburn. Other notable names include quarterback Jackson Arnold, wide receiver Perry Thompson, and running back Damari Alston.
